June, July, August and then?

Hel

Seems I was sooooo motivated in May… I set myself 6 goals to accomplish. Its been more than 3 months since then. 109 days later in fact. So how did I do? Did I smash my goals or did I fail spectacularly? To get a sense of success it’s best to revisit what my actual May goals were. They were focused on 3 core areas, fitness, food and fabrication. All 6 goals were written to be Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant and Time Bound (SMART). My success was limited only by my ability and capacity to commit. Lets analyze the results. Traveling: A Cure For Depression?

Keep Moving Tim Gardner

Congratulations to me, I’m one of the apparent 1 in 5  Australians that have suffered from the black dog. It probably first started in high school, aged 13, and sporadically continued to rear its ugly head right up until my mid twentys. But now, I reckon, I’ve pretty much cured it. Mostly thanks to traveling. 3 amazing, wonderful, glorious years of traveling. I’m now onto my second passport because Australia, Malaysia, United States of America, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Mynmar, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Qatar & Bahrain stamps […] more

How I Funded 3 Years of Traveling

Tim Gardner Backpack

Have you ever wanted to take an extended trip overseas? It’s not an easy thing to do. It takes time and money. You need to take time away from whatever kind of life you’ve burdened yourself with and you need to scrape enough funds together to first buy that departure ticket. Now, I can’t help you escape from the drudgery you’ve trapped your life in (maybe) and I can’t help you with funding (yet) but I can give you a hot tip. I can tell you exactly what I’ve done to fund 3 years of travel. It involved hard work (I’ve worked in over 60 jobs, at times holding down 4 jobs at […] more
